The Show season is over and we could end it as successful as we started it, here
a short summary:Show Successes 2009
The last show season was absolute satisfactory.
For the first time in our 10 years lasting breeding kennel "Of Green Borderline" we can look back on great results in the showscene in Austria and in foreign countries. And I think, we could represent worthy Austrian bred Border Collies.
Tally, our always grinning boy, has found alot of fans and the elegant Grace has got alot of admirers from the very beginning in junior class so that she could fullfill three junior champions in only 8 months at the age of 17 months.
All three Border Collies of our show team have gained the title "Best of Breed".
One of the highlight this year has the first entry on a show in the origin country, Great Britain, been. Tally was awarded fourth twice. And of course the moment when I was allowed to present Tally in the honour ring for the Best in Group, where we got second.
Showing dogs is a very expensive hobby, although it has made me very happy this year.
2009 I was driving 14.252 km and have paid 2.586,- Euro for entries.
Here are some results of our show team:
Flash Tally of Green Borderline
Austria: 6 x CACA, 3 x Cacib
Slovenia: 5 x CAC, 1 x Cacib, 1 x BOB, 1 x BOG second
Czech Rep.: 2 x CAC, 2 x Cacib
Coatia: 1 x CAC, Best dog
GB: 2 x fourth
Grace Kelly of Green Borderline
Austrian, Slovenian and Croatian Junior Champion
Austria: 4 x CACA, 2 x Cacib
Slovenia: 2 x CAC, 2 x Cacib, 1 x BOB
Hungary: 1 x CAC
Littlethorn Amica for Greenborder (Imp. GB)
Austria: 3 x Exc.1, Centenniel Junior Winner, 1 x BOB,
1 x BIS
Slovenia: 1 x CAC, 1 x CACIB

- Big congrats to Elke and her Panda: They passed the BGH-1 exam and are
also training for Agility and herding the sheep.
- Big congratulations also for Petra and Firewall: They had their first
zero points run at their second start in an Agility trial - we're very proud
of you!
- Diana and Everwood passed the BGH-1 exam today in Ebreichsdorf as the
best team with 95 points - big congrats!

Judge: Mrs. Barbka Novak (Slo)

- Mica (Intermediate): Excellent 1, CaC, Cacib
We could make "The Double" again in gaining "Best Dog" and "Best Bitch" a
sceond time this year! With a crowning BOB for Tally and a second place in
the group!
Tally has also had a nice evening, because the bitch "Another Girl Open
Gate" (Borderline Country Tempest x Daisy Foxy Fox) was awaiting him when we
arrived at home after the show. Tally did a good job so we do hope for a
lovely litter in about 9 weeks in the Czech kennel "Open Gate".

- Tally (Open) Excellent 1, Best dog, NOE Winner (5)
- Mica (Intermediate): Excellent 1 (6)
- Panda (Intermediate): Excellent 3 (6)
Tally is in show condition again, won the open class and gained the title
"NOE Winner" as best dog of the day!
Mica was a good girl in intermediate and could win her class, Panda was
really nice but she has had an injury on a ball of her foot so she went a
bit lame. Nevertheless she is a "gorgeous" little girl :-)))
On the same day Mica also went "angekoert" with an excellent judgement of
her body and she did the charactertest really well.

- Litter meeting 2009!
We've had a lovely day yesterday with our offspring and their owners, good
talks and some training on the trainingfield. Thank you all, who were coming
to spend a nice time together!
The only sad moment was in the evening when Houston went with his new owners.
All the best for you with your new family member!
- Good news via phone in the afternoon from Firewall and Petra: They could
achieve the fantastic fourth place at their very first start in Agility (out
of 20 teams in class 1). You are a super team!
- New fotos of Houston and
Mica.
- Super news from Germany:
Gypsy and his owner Uschi were the best team of the day on the BH exam with
57 points and an "Excellent". Many, many congrats from here, we are very
proud.

Collies and the results were what I expected:
- Mica (Junior): Excellent (came into the final round of 6 but didn't
get placed)
- Grace (Intermediate): Very good

- Clubshow Judenburg
(35 entered Border Collies, 80 entries in total of all Britisch herding
breeds)
Judge: Pyhllis Poduschka-Aigner
- Houston (Baby): Very promising
- Tally (Open): Excellent 2
- Mica: (Intermediate): Excellent 1, Best bitch, BOB and BIS
Tallys brother, Fnnley the Freshman, was also here and has won the open
class dogs. It was nice to meet him again and to see what a beautiful dog he
has grown into!
Big congrats to Finn and his owner, Christiane!
Mica has had a successful day altough it was raining cats and dogs...
She has won her class, then went best bitch to become BOB.
And when we went into the honour ring for the BIS, I was totally relaxed,
because Mica is just 17 months old and I didn't expect anything more.
But the judge must have fallen in love with her, because she gave her Best
in Show!

- Honey Bee, Havanna Club and Highlander Jack left already our home to
live in their new families.
Honey Bee lives now in Slovenia, her new owner is Zarja, a lovely girl.
Honey is going to the law office with Vesna and Mitja everyday and has found
lots of friends in Ljubljana already.
Havanna Club came into a Border Collie home in Germany. She will be living
with Sylvia and Peter, Julia will be working with her in Agility or/and
Obedience and will hopefully show this lovely girl at dog shows.
Highlander Jack is living closely to our home and has found new friends in
the four cats, which are living with him and Melanie. We will meet Melanie
and him every week in the dogs school.
Habitual Shadow will be picked up by his owner, Eva, in the middle of
September, when her hostel is empty after the summer holidays and she's got
a lot of time for him.
We're still looking for a sportive show home for Houston No Problem. If we
can't find this special home, he will stay (for a while). I like this pretty
boy, who is so sovereign and strong in body and mind. He is a joy to live
with, very clever and beautiful, a spitting image of his daddy - Littlethorn
Galaxy.
We wish all our puppies and the new members of our "Of Green Borderline"
family all the best. The puppies are really great in their new homes, no
crying, no sadness. They feel like they have always been there - good
puppies!

- Yesterday Mrs. Brenner was here to have a look at the puppies. I proudly
presented our gorgeous H-litter babies.
The result of the "expectation" was that all boys have their balls already,
all puppies have perfect teeth, no dewclaws, no umbilical hernias.
So lately they are ready for their "take off" - but I don't wanna think
about that the last remaining days...
Together with the perfect eye tests for all babies we have bred another
beautiful, lively and healthy litter, which makes us very proud.
Today we've had great fun when driving to a pond with daisy and her children.
As it is so hot, I thought it would be nice to enable them to play a bit in
the water. But the babies didn't play for a long time but were swimming like
adults! What great fun they've had! You can have a look at some pictures -->
here.

It has been a very nice show, we've met nice people again and it was
lovely to have Julie with me again beside all her work. Thank you, Jennifer,
for helping me on Sunday, I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you,
Eva, for your support: You've had everything that I neded, it was nice to
meet you again Cili.
We've spent the days after the shows in front of our campervan with lots of
talks and fun, thank you all, I will not forget this weekend. But despite
that I have been very proud of little Mica, who did so well in the showring,
moved like a star. Thank you, Alison and Bob, for that gorgeous girl!

- Our H-Litter is 6 weeks old now and matures just lovely. We exercise
them every day outside the garden now and they explore their new world.
They have had their first vaccination and chip set, none of them have
squeezed.
We do have a lot of puppy-visitors now and our puppies welcome them very
friendly, they all are really outgoing and full of life.
You can see their new fotos on their pages --> here
- Congratulations to Petra and Finnley, they both passed their BGH2 (companion
dog 2) exam "Very good"!
- Congratulations to Uschi and Gypsy. Gypsy has been x-rayed today and I'm
very pleased to being told that hips, ellbows and shoulders look very good.
We await the official scoring, but it looks good for Gypsys sportive future
in Agility and Obedience.
- We have got our gates this week and at least I can train our dogs at
sheep at home now. What a relief that I own a big roundpen now, where I can
train Daisy, Tally and Grace. Daisy has enough from her maternal duties and
is so happy to herd the sheep. Tally gets calmer at sheep and Grace is just
a pleasure to work with. Always nice, always saying "yes", doing her best to
please me and doing everything right.
Mica has been at sheep for the first time today and did a good job trying to
find the point of balance. I think, she will become a good herdingdog.

- Habitual Shadow is still searching for the right family and we are
not sure if we will part with Houston:-)))
- Grace has been hipscored a while
after her season and the x-ray is superb! So Grace is Hips/Ellbows/Shoulders:free!

- The puppies are 9 days old today and they're growing really fast. Puppy
2 has doubled his birthweight yesterday, the others will follow tonight.
Today I could see a small slit at their eyes so that they will open their
eyes in the next days.
The puppies seem to be very content and all they do is sleeping and drinking.
Daisy is in really good shape and a super mummy!
Each puppy has got its own page on our website -->

- Panda is a very agile girlie: she's doing agility in the dog training
center and is also allowed to herd the sheep - and she loves doing that!
